Alex and Cassie Ferren have planted a church in the Midtown area of Kansas City.  Both were drawn to pastoral ministry at a young age and found themselves in Springfield, MO preparing for the future.  Cassie has a M.A. in Communications from Missouri State University, and has worked for AGWM and the Assembly of God’s Discipleship Initiative.  Alex has a M.A. in Theological Studies from the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary and has worked for the Church Multiplication Network.  

In 2017, the two were married and began to dream about what ministry together might look like.  They imagined a microchurch steeped in mission, discipleship and justice.  With a passion for multiplying the Church, they are committed to being generous with their time and resources as they connect with people who are far from God.

Alex says, "Microchurch embodies what we believe to be the essential elements of being the church; a community centered on prayer, scripture, and mission. When the we commit ourselves to practicing the essentials in everyday settings, we create an environment in which we learn to follow Jesus in everyday settings."
